Join us on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 27th, 2025 from Noon to 4PM at Poshines Cafe De La Soul located at 8139 N. Denver Ave, Portland OR 97217.

The Proper Thanksgiving Feast-ival is a beloved Kenton tradition for over 20 years. In fact, this will be the 26th year of us offering a home-away-from-home Thanksgiving community meal! The Proper Thanksgiving Feast-ival is completely FREE and open to everyone! Whether you come every year, or you’re joining us for the first time, we will be glad to see you.

The Proper Thanksgiving Feast-ival normally features music, entertainment, an inclusive community experience, and great food, Hosted in a wheelchair-accessible space. However, due to our church fire we will serving to go boxes this year.

We partner with local restaurants to bring you a fresh and delicious Thanksgiving feast. In 2025, we’re pleased to announce that we’re partnering once again with Po’Shines Cafe de la Soul! We’ll have an awesome team bring you a top-quality menu, carefully composed of traditional Thanksgiving favorites and innovative new dishes.

Proper depends on our neighbors to support our mission of uniting community across all lines. We receive support from local businesses, community foundations, individual donors, and volunteers. If you or your organization would like to get involved with Proper, we look forward to speaking with you.

  1. I live in NE, off Albert, and would like to volunteer on Thanksgiving. D you need any help early in the morning, preparing food or wahtever in preparation. I can come early and would need to leave by 10:30. Let me know. I am also open to volunteering at other times. I do work with immigrants and asylum seekers and work FT and have a ig desire to be of service so though I don’t have a lot of time I am eager Let me know.
