The Proper Thanksgiving Feast-ival is a beloved Kenton tradition for over 20 years. In fact, this will be the 26th year of us offering a home-away-from-home Thanksgiving community meal! The Proper Thanksgiving Feast-ival is completely FREE and open to everyone! Whether you come every year, or you’re joining us for the first time, we will be glad to see you.
The Proper Thanksgiving Feast-ival normally features music, entertainment, an inclusive community experience, and great food, Hosted in a wheelchair-accessible space. However, due to our church fire we will serving to go boxes this year.
We partner with local restaurants to bring you a fresh and delicious Thanksgiving feast. In 2025, we’re pleased to announce that we’re partnering once again with Po’Shines Cafe de la Soul! We’ll have an awesome team bring you a top-quality menu, carefully composed of traditional Thanksgiving favorites and innovative new dishes. We offer vegetarian options too!

I am physically disabled and it is hard for me to get around on the bus and out in the cold. Is there a way that I can have some one pick up the meal?
Hi Mary. My husband and I are happy to pick up a meal and bring it to you. Let me know via email if we can be helpful in that way!
Can meals be picked up for a family by adult member or does every individual in household need to be present for to go box? I have 2 kids and 2 adults but kids are old enough to stay home for a short time while I pick up food. Just wondering as we used to attend years ago but this is a different format so not sure of your protocol on this matter?
Do you still have openings to volunteer for Thanksgiving?

I am 76 years old and have no family. I would love to be with others on this Thanksgiving holiday and enjoy a delicious meal BUT>>>>I can only do this if I can volunteer. I can stand for short periods and then I need to sit. I can serve or prepare…your greatest need. Please let me know if you can use me.
